MAITRI COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL

The Maitri Council International (MCI) is an autonomous organization of Shambhala International. Since 1994, under the guidance of the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the council has overseen all activity of Maitri: The Five Wisdom Energies.

The mission of the Maitri Council is to propagate and protect Maitri practice. The council guides the development and oversees the presentation of programs and the training of teachers. Programs and trainings are offered in different arenas by experienced and authorized teachers. Only teachers authorized by the MCI may teach Maitri using the postures in rooms or with glasses. Anyone can work with the energies.
